I have my 500-hour Level Teacher Certification and Kids Yoga Teacher Certification from YogaWorks. I have taught for over five years and have assisted Teacher Trainings. Besides teaching yoga I genuinely enjoy creating, planning and hosting yoga events and workshops that have charitable connections. Health and wellness are essential for me to feel happy so fitness and nutrition are big priorities. I truly value my family and friends so carving out time to connect and just enjoy their company is very important to me as well. Also traveling and exploring new places is something that always excites and inspires me.
What inspired you to teach Yoga?
At the end of my first class I realized maybe for the first time ever I had fully cleared out my mind of thoughts, worries, to-dos, all that chatter and I felt so freed and energized yet grounded like I never had experienced before. I continued to come to my mat, breathe deeper, let go a little more, open up to possibilities and discover a sense of inner peace and joy. I soon realized what changes I had cultivated on my mat were spilling over into my life and I was happier, more centered, present and less reactive. Yoga was a true gift and I knew I wanted to share it with everyone! I believe in the physical, mental and spiritual benefits of yoga and I feel deeply fulfilled sharing this practice with others.
What is your favorite Asana?
Savasana, this is where the magic happens and my body, mind, heart and soul just feel restored, balanced, centered and revitalized all at once. This is the place I really feel I absorb all the benefits of my asana practice.
“Whoever you are, or whatever it is that you do, when you really want something, it’s because that desire originated in the souls of the universe. It’s your mission on earth… And when you want something, all the universe conspires in helping you to achieve it.” Paulo Coelho, The Alchemist.
