Allison is an avid runner and has competed in everything from 400m to marathon distances. She also loves to cook and incorporate medicinal foods and herbs into her recipes.
What inspired you to teach group fitness?
Allison was involved in athletics throughout high school and college. Initially intrigued by yoga’s ability to improve her athletic performance, Allison continued to practice and developed a deeper appreciation for the many benefits yoga offered and began teaching in 2009.
Allison has a true passion for health and wellness, and is a Naturopathic Doctor practicing in Corona del Mar. She is also a Certified Nutrition Specialist, and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology.
What is your favorite exercise?
My favorite exercise would have to be a single leg deadlift because it incorporates both balance and coordination and hits my two favorite muscle groups — core and glutes.
